Are you a thespian who can’t find the right Halloween costume? This is for you! Whether you want to be mysterious like the Phantom or spooky like Morticia, these Broadway inspired costumes are sure to make you the best looking at the Halloween party.
1. Christine Daae
Of course Christine would be on this list! She is a musical theatre icon! This is a good tutorial for beginners who want to start flexing their make-up designing muscles.
2. Heather Chandler
The most recent in cult favorites is a musical adaptation of Heathers. One of the most coveted roles within thespians today is the preppy Heather Chandler.
3. Dorothy Gale
Possibly one of the most popular musical characters of all time, Dorothy Gale is always a Halloween favorite. With a few simple tips and tricks you can have the brightest ruby slippers, and the nicest checkered dress.
Disney’s hit musical Newsies has something for everyone. This being said, you can hit the streets looking to sell some papers with these fantastic tips from the news boys themselves!
These past few years have been great for Disney shows on Broadway. Their biggest hit as of recent, Aladdin, has costumes aplenty! An easy and fun costume is this version of Aladdin, which includes the carpet!

A relatively new character to the Broadway scene, but a character everyone will know regardless is none other than Wednesday Addams! If you have a passion for the dark and spooky, then you should definitely take a crack at this one.
10. Shakespearean Characters
If you want to look like you were written by the Bard himself, you may want to take a look at this Elizabethan ruff costume tutorial. When you gather your materials you can finish this costume in less than an hour (if you’re fast)!
