Theatre nerds. You probably were one, know one, or are one. And if that’s true, we have some videos for you! Just in case you were starting to take yourself a bit too seriously, here are several hilarious parodies that perfectly capture what it’s like to be a complete theatre nerd.

1. BuzzFeed‘s “Things Musical Theatre Nerds Do (The Musical)”

An entire musical parody dedicated to the nerdy and unique characteristics of your fellow thespian. What better way to acknowledge this musical obsessed fandom then with what they love most — a musical!

2. Key & Peele‘s “Les Mis”

We’ve seen many reenactments of Les Misérables, but this Key & Peele skit has to be the most epic take of them all. Not only are their lyrics hilarious and 100% relatable, but their vocals are great too! Thus offering a high quality parody of your favorite musical number.

3. SNL‘s “High School Theatre Show (ft. Emma Stone)”

High school theatre, it’s an enigma within itself. A lot of productions are great, but when they’re not they tend to look a lot like this high school theatre skit from SNL.

4. Gayle – Episode 40: “Theater”

This is a long one, but relatable nonetheless! If you want to watch an entire episode’s worth of theatrical nerdiness then this episode of the Youtube parody series Gayle is the one for you. If not this link will lead to straight to the funniest part!

5. d3@r ev@n OH NO

You’ll either find this video endlessly entertaining or think of it as the weirdest fifty-five seconds of your entire life. Either way, this parody is Ben Platt approved, and remains hilariously relevant to a wide range of Dear Evan Hansen fans and meme makers alike.

6. SNL‘s “Crucible Cast Party (ft. Lin-Manuel Miranda)”

This hilarious yet totally cringe-worthy video is arguable one of the most popular theatre kid parodies out there. Not only is it embarrassingly accurate, but it completely captures those awkward moments that are likely in every theatre kid’s repertoire.
