Plummet - Laura

Laura marries a man when she is 16 to get out of an abusive house, only to find that he becomes controlling and cold once they wed. Thinking she is pregnant and realizing that she doesn’t want to raise a child with him, she finds the strength to leave him.  A year later he finds her and tries to convince her to come back to him. When Laura refuses, he suggests that she is mentally ill (as her mother was) and tells her that she just doesn't remember the way things REALLY were.see less
