Working class parents try to navigate the gender transition of their daughter Vi. Bird and Pilar are doing the best they can, researching hormone therapy, and trying to navigate the social and physical ramifications of gender transition for their daughter, Vi. When Vi goes rogue and reaches out to a genderqueer, LGBTQ positive YouTube sensation, Vi professes her love for her friend Jacob and gets 20,000 hits on the internet.
