We have been told by society what to do since we were born; if you’re a girl, you play with dolls, a boy, you play with cars. Everything has been established by society before we, as individuals, have any say in what we want to be when we grow up. Know Your Role is a play that defies those odds, asks the questions we all wish we could while growing up. What if girls could use a crossbow and men could wear dresses, without the scorn of society? We have to start the conversation somewhere, and this ensemble of characters brings these issues to light in an especially positive way.see less
