Before the 2008 election, when 9/11 was still at the forefront of everyone's minds, Bush was still in office, and gay marriage was still illegal; liberal American's had a LOT to rant about. In this short play, two characters Frank and Janine playfully (and sometimes not so playfully) banter about all that is wrong with our social and political systems. Frank's not-so-subtle rants are usually caressed into logical discussion and practical assessment by Janine. Both characters think that they are the one who has it worse in modern day America. Michael Wanzie takes the audience on an emotionally charged journey through song and rant, hoping to solve all our problems with one simple word, kindness.
