To continue with our Performers Stuff Pro Series, please welcome\u00a0Ellen Jackson, Lynn Jezzard, <\/strong>and Stewart Arnott <\/strong>from the original London production of The Phantom of the Opera. <\/strong>Hear them share their stories about working directly with the show\u2019s creators, Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Dame Gillian Lynne, Hal Prince, and Maria Bjornson. Collectively Ellen, Lynn, and Stewart have experienced over 30,000 performances of the show.<\/p>\n

Ellen Jackson<\/strong> \u2013 Cast Phantom of the Opera – <\/em>Original London Production (12,000 performances with the show)<\/p>\n

Training:<\/strong>\u00a0Ellen Jackson was born in Lanarkshire and is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.<\/p>\n

Opera includes:<\/strong>\u00a0her professional debut at the Waterford Festival, performing the title role in\u00a0The Merry Widow<\/em>\u00a0and Gianetta in\u00a0The Gondoliers<\/em>,\u00a0for which she received the Best Female Voice Award. After this she joined Scottish Opera, with whom she performed in\u00a0Der Rosenkavelier<\/em>, Die Meistersinger, Die Fledermaus, L\u2019Elisir d\u2019Amore, Tosca<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Egisto.<\/em><\/p>\n

Theatre includes:<\/strong>\u00a0The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, The Beggar\u2019s Opera, Annie,<\/em>\u00a0Sister Margaretta in\u00a0The Sound of Music<\/em>\u00a0(UK tour), the hit West End musical\u00a0Chess <\/em>and\u00a0Fiddler on the Roof<\/em>\u00a0(Theatre Royal, Plymouth). Seasons followed in\u00a0Born Again<\/em> (Chichester Festival Theatre),\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>\u00a0(Palace) and\u00a0The Phantom of the Opera<\/em>\u00a0(Her Majesty\u2019s), in which she played Madame Giry at many performances. She has also played Mrs Mullin and the Principal in the musical\u00a0Carousel<\/em>\u00a0(Perth Theatre).<\/p>\n

Lynn Jezzard<\/strong> \u2013 Original Cast, Resident Ballet Mistress and Resident Choreographer Phantom of the Opera – <\/em>Original London Production (34 years with show)<\/p>\n

Training:<\/strong> Lynn was born in Ramsgate, Kent and trained at the Arts Educational Schools, Tring and London<\/p>\n

Ballet includes<\/strong>: She started her professional career in Ballet International, then moved to Northern Ballet Theatre as a Principal Dancer where she danced many of the leading classical roles including Giselle and Swanhilda in Copelia<\/em>, also creating the role of Alice in Alice and Wonderland<\/em><\/p>\n

Television includes:<\/strong> A Chance to Sit Down<\/em> for BBC TV and the major series Bluebell<\/em> also for the BBC.<\/p>\n

Theatre:<\/strong> Original cast member and Resident Ballet Mistress Phantom of the Opera <\/em>London<\/p>\n

Stewart Arnott \u2013<\/strong>Stage Manager Phantom of the Opera – <\/em>Original London Production (10,000 performances with show)<\/p>\n

Training: <\/strong>Stewart Graduated from Mountview Theatre School in 1987,<\/p>\n

Theatre includes:<\/strong>\u00a0Stewart has worked extensively in the West End as set operator on shows such as\u00a0Metropolis<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Miss Saigon<\/em>\u00a0before moving into stage management where his shows include\u00a0The Rocky<\/em>\u00a0Horror Show<\/em>,\u00a0A Tribute to the Blues Brothers<\/em>,\u00a0The Hunting of the Snark<\/em>,\u00a0Radio Times<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Crazy For You<\/em>. In 1995 Stewart joined the original production of\u00a0The Phantom of the Opera<\/em>, a show which he was privileged to look after as stage manager for the last 20 years of its run.<\/p>\n
