In this episode of \u201cIn The Holding Room,\u201d we are joined by performer Nikki Snelson<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for \u201cPerformer Spotlight.\u201d Nikki was a member of the original Broadway cast of\u001f Legally Blonde The Musical. In 2008, Nikki headlined the first national revival tour of\u001f A Chorus Line, starring in the iconic role of Cassie. Other credits on Broadway include starring with the original cast of the 1999 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway revival of\u001f Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bernadette Peters. She also appeared in the Broadway revival of\u001f Sweet Charity\u001fstarring Christina Applegate, the national tours of\u001f Tick, Tick… Boom!\u001fas Susan,\u001fDisney\u2019s Beauty and the Beast, Hello Dolly!\u001f starring Carol Channing, and\u001f Showboat. In 2009 and 2010, she originated the role of the new, female, villainous Mad Hatter in the Frank Wildhorn musical\u001f Wonderland: Alice\u2019s New Musical Adventure,\u001fin its world premiere productions at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa and Houston\u2019s Alley Theatre. In \u201cThank you 5,\u201d this week, I talk about working with celebrities, what to look out for and what to consider. Darla Hayward<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in \u201cProfessor\u2019s Corner\u201d brings you a ton of information, as she spent years with Disney as a casting director. She has cast Equity and Non-Equity shows for Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, and Disney Cruise Line. She sees 1000\u2019s of performers a year and hires 100\u2019s a year.
