NBC is releasing a new series in March and we\u2019re pretty sure you are going to set a reminder to watch. Based on a true story, <\/span>Rise<\/span><\/i> follows the journey of a group of dedicated and passionate teachers as they guide the transformation of a working-class town theatre department.<\/span><\/p>\n

This one-hour drama series is written and produced by Jason Katims, known for <\/span>Friday Night Lights<\/span><\/i>\u00a0and <\/span>Parenthood<\/span><\/i>, which means one word: tearjerker. <\/span><\/p>\n

Reason 1: The actors and actresses involved<\/h4>\n

The show follows a small town teacher, <\/span>Lou Mazzuchelli, played by Josh Radnor, the familiar face from <\/span>How I Met Your Mother<\/span><\/i>. The show also stars faces like musical theatre legend Stephanie J. Block, as well <\/span>as Auli\u2019l Cravalho, the voice <\/span>of Disney\u2019s hit, <\/span>Moana<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
