It\u2019s the one week of the year when we go nuts for nomination announcements. Everyone\u00a0has their favorites for every\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">year, but I\u2019m very particular about my musical theatre. Below are my favorite Tony Award performances to date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>11. \u201cRevolutionary Costume for Today\u201d from <i>Grey Gardens <\/i>(2007)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gdh8EoYoAoM?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Little Edie Beale was brought to us on the Tony stage in 2007 by the witty and hilariously dry Christine Ebersole. This number is one of the most famous from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grey Gardens<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and it\u2019s a memorable representation of how Broadway loves its unconventional characters.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">10. A medley from <em>Natasha, Pierre &amp; the Great Comet of 1812\u00a0<\/em>(2017)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xICCxThFQpQ?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This number from 2017 with a party atmosphere and highly dedicated performers takes the cake at #10. Plus, how can you resist Josh Groban?<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">9. \u201cSit Down, You\u2019re Rockin the Boat\u201d from <i>Guys &amp; Dolls <\/i>(1992)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8JfcizvsHps?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This high-energy number is comedy genius with incredible choreography by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Christopher Chadman, a longtime friend of Bob Fosse&#8217;s. Funny, clever, and visually stunning, this one takes number #9 on my list.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4>8. \u201cI Believe\u201d from <i>The Book of Mormon <\/i>(2011)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xlbDHejQFV4?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another hilarious number, \u201cI Believe\u201d from Trey Parker and Matt Stone\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Book of Mormon <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gets me in a positive mood, but I\u2019m not sure if it\u2019s from laughing too hard at Andrew Rannells or from reveling in the amazing song-writing abilities of Robert Lopez and the fantastic duo known for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">South Park.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">7. \u201cWe Are What We Are\u201d \/ \u201cI Am What I Am\u201d from <i>La Cage Aux Folles <\/i>(1984)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Gqij_qBLcag?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It doesn\u2019t get any more glamorous than <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Cage Aux Folles,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the Broadway show that celebrated gay pride with a beautiful number that began in chorus members in frocks and ended with George Hearn belting a joyful manifesto of self-acceptance and celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4>6. \u201cRing of Keys\u201d from <i>Fun Home <\/i>(2015)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pMAuesRJm1E?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This anthem of discovery sung by Sydney Lucas is a show-stopping number. The young actor\u2019s connection to the number and outstanding delivery makes this performance one I\u2019ll never forget.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">5. \u201cMama Who Bore Me\u201d\/\u201dThe Bitch of Living\u201d\/\u201dTotally Fucked\u201d from <i>Spring Awakening <\/i>(2007)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xEYV5bNMZVo?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">no way <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019d leave this medley off this list. The inclusion of three of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spring Awakening<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s most popular and amazing songs in this Tony Award performance gives me chills and gets me rockin\u2019 every time.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4>4. \u201cGypsy Rose\u201d from <i>Gypsy <\/i>(2003)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gCU2Wd4crr0?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What can I say about Bernadette Peters that hasn\u2019t already been said? Nothing. Because I\u2019m speechless.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4>3. \u201cAnything Goes\u201d from <i>Anything Goes <\/i>(1988)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/a19krDkWJ3E?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I can\u2019t imagine any other performer playing Reno Sweeney than Patti LuPone. This high energy number ranks high on my favorites list.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4>2. \u201cAnd I Am Telling You\u201d from <i>Dreamgirls <\/i>(1982)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LMr71pu49TU?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Holy moly, if this number doesn\u2019t bring you to your feet in applause, I\u2019m not sure what will. Only 21 at the time, Jennifer Holliday belts the final note with the power of a supreme diva.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-full fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes section-body-post\" style=\"margin-top:;margin-bottom:;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><h4>1.\u201cCircle of Life\u201d from <i>The Lion King <\/i>(1998)<\/h4>\n<br><div align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:350px;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/urZ8YkiC88c?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><br><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first time I saw <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Lion King <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">live and I saw the mama and baby elephants stride down the aisle next to me, I wept. And I can\u2019t help but shed a happy tear when I watch this performance, too.
