Maybe you’re a high school senior with an interest in testing the waters\u00a0theatre outside the bounds of your drama department. If you’re looking for local auditions, try these five tips\u00a0for finding audition notices in your area.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Join a local Facebook group for actor auditions.<\/h4>\n

Search for your city in conjunction with \u201cauditions\u201d on Facebook, and you\u2019re likely to find a few public groups you can join that will post upcoming audition opportunities for your area.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Follow the social media accounts of local theatres.<\/h4>\n

Theatres interested in finding actors for their upcoming shows will often post audition notices on their Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter accounts. You can set up alerts in your preferences on every social media platform so you can see updates from those theatres first.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company will usually post actor, singer, dancer, puppeteer, or stilt walker auditions about a week to a month out.
