No. Not the same thing. The class I take is “Theatre.” Theater<\/em> is the building.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. “I have to stay at school until six.\u00a0UGH MY LIFE.<\/em>“<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/span><\/div>

I’ve gone entire school days without seeing the sun once.<\/p>\n

3. “Theatre doesn’t require any physical labor.”<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/span><\/div>

Have\u00a0you\u00a0<\/em>run the full length of an entire auditorium while changing into a suit?<\/p>\n

4. “Why don’t you just get a side job?”<\/h4>\n

Get real. My life is school, sleep, or rehearsal.<\/p>\n

5. “Why do you only wear black?”<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/span><\/div>

Because black works in every theatre situation: it’s a technician’s uniform and an actor’s best friend. #slimming<\/p>\n

6. “You have extra food. Can I have some?”<\/h4>\n

No, this is for dinner tonight…during my five-minute break from a four-hour rehearsal.<\/p>\n

7. “Is that makeup residue from yesterday<\/em>?”<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/span><\/div>

Yes. When your face is painted on a nightly basis, some gets left behind.<\/p>\n

8. “Can we listen to something\u00a0other <\/em>than\u00a0show tunes?”<\/h4>\n

My car, my rules, my music.<\/p>\n

9. “Don’t you have friends outside of theatre?”<\/h4>\n

What is this “outside of theatre” you speak of?<\/p>\n

10. SCENE PARTNER: “Hey, you should try –“<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/span><\/div>

Please stop.<\/p>\n

11. “Don’t you have any other hobbies?”<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/span><\/div>

Theatre is my passion, my love, and my family. It’s what I’m devoted to and where I know I belong. So…nope!<\/p>\n
